Privacy Policy

Admisly asks you for a lot of personal things — your grades, your schools, your family's financial situation, your essays. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what we collect, why we need it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or delete it. It's written so a student and a parent can both read it in one sitting.
The short version. We collect what we need to build your plan and answer your questions. Your profile and your writing go to Anthropic's Claude API so the AI can generate your Blueprint, feedback, and answers. Stripe handles payment — we never see your card number. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever. There are no advertising trackers on Admisly. Email AdmislyEducation@gmail.com and we'll export or delete your data.

1. Who we are
Admisly is a paid AI college-admissions counseling web app at https://admisly.com. It is a product of Quant Terminal LLC (that's also the name on your bank statement when you subscribe). In this policy, "we," "us," and "Admisly" mean Quant Terminal LLC operating the Admisly service.
Email: AdmislyEducation@gmail.com
2. What we collect
Everything below is either something you type in, something you upload, or something the site needs to work. We don't buy data about you from anyone else, and we don't pull in data from your social accounts.
Account information
- Your name and email address.
- Your password — stored only as a PBKDF2 hash. We cannot read your password, and neither can anyone who gets a copy of our database.
- If you use "Continue with Google," a Google account identifier and the basic profile info Google returns for sign-in.
Your onboarding profile
When you set up Admisly, we ask for the things a real counselor would ask for:
- Grade level, school name, and which courses your school actually offers
- GPA and the scale it's on; test scores (SAT/ACT/AP/IELTS/TOEFL, if you have them)
- Country and state
- First-generation status (whether you'd be the first in your family to go to college)
- Self-reported financial need level — a rough band you pick yourself. We do not ask for your family's income, tax returns, FAFSA data, or any financial documents.
- Intended majors and dream schools
- Current extracurriculars and how many hours a week you have available
- Personal constraints you write in free text (for example: "I work weekends," "no car," "my school has no AP classes")
Why we ask for the sensitive ones. First-generation status and financial-need level are not there to judge you or to sort you. They change the advice. If you're first-gen or high-need, Admisly surfaces application fee waivers, need-blind and full-need schools, no-cost summer programs, and free competitions instead of $4,000 ones. Your school name and course list exist so the plan recommends classes your school actually has — not a schedule you can't take. Your grades and scores exist so the school list is honest instead of flattering.
What you create in the app
- Counselor chat messages
- Study Lab uploads — PDFs, .docx, .pptx, pasted text, and recorded-lecture transcripts
- Essay drafts you submit to Essay Lab
- The output we generate for you: your Blueprint, notes, flashcards, quizzes, test-prep plans, school lists, and timelines
Billing and usage
- Stripe customer and subscription IDs. See Payments — we never receive your card number.
- Usage counters and our computed API cost for your account, so we can run the service, spot abuse, and tell when someone needs a Boost top-up.
- A session cookie. See Cookies.
3. How we use it
| What | Used for |
|---|---|
| Profile, grades, scores, school | Generating and updating your Blueprint, school list, course map, and timeline |
| First-gen status, financial need | Surfacing fee waivers, aid-friendly schools, and free or low-cost opportunities |
| Chat messages, essays, uploads | Answering your questions, giving essay feedback, and building notes, flashcards, and quizzes |
| Name and email | Signing you in, sending verification/login codes, a welcome email, and account or billing notices |
| Stripe IDs, usage counters | Running your subscription, applying Boost top-ups and unlock codes, preventing abuse |
We do not use your essays, chats, or profile to advertise to you, and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. Where your information goes: AI and web search
Admisly is an AI product. That means your profile and the content you give us are sent to an AI provider to generate your output. Specifically:
- Anthropic (Claude API). Your onboarding profile, your chat messages, your essay drafts, and your uploaded study material are sent to Anthropic's API so Claude can write your Blueprint, answer your questions, and give feedback. This is how the product works — you can't use Admisly without this happening.
- Web search. Some features (school research, awards and competitions, and Radar's events, fee waivers, and demonstrated-interest policies) run web searches. Search queries can include details from your profile — for example your intended major, a school name, or your state — because that's what makes the results useful. We don't send your essays or chat transcripts to a search engine as a search query.
Everyone we share data with
| Who | What they get |
|---|---|
| Anthropic | Your profile and the content you submit, to generate output |
| Stripe | Payment details you enter on Stripe's own checkout page, plus your email |
| Only if you choose "Continue with Google" — Google handles that sign-in | |
| Our email provider | Your email address, to send verification/login codes and a welcome email |
| Web search provider | Search queries for research features, which can include profile details |
That's the complete list. We don't share your information with schools, admissions offices, scholarship companies, data brokers, or advertisers.
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy and its own terms about how it handles data.
We may also disclose information if we're legally required to — for example, a valid court order — or if it's necessary to protect someone's safety or to defend our legal rights.
5. Payments
Admisly Pro is $20/month or $150/year, an auto-renewing subscription. There's no free tier. A $5 one-time "Boost" top-up is available if you use the service heavily. Promo codes (like DREAM50 for 50% off your first month) and unlock codes may change or waive what you pay.
Your card number never touches Admisly's servers. Checkout happens on Stripe's hosted page. Stripe collects and stores the card details; we receive back only identifiers — a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID — plus the status of your subscription. We can see that you paid. We cannot see your card.
Billing terms, refunds, and cancellation are covered in our Terms of Service.
6. Cookies
Admisly uses one cookie: your session cookie. It's what keeps you logged in. It is set HttpOnly (JavaScript can't read it), Secure (only sent over HTTPS), and SameSite=Lax.
There are no advertising cookies, no ad pixels, and no third-party tracking scripts on Admisly. We don't run Facebook or TikTok pixels. If you clear the session cookie or log out, you're logged out.
We count page views ourselves. Admisly keeps its own visitor counts on its own server — how many times a page like this one was opened, and roughly how many separate people opened it, estimated with a one-way hash that changes every day and can't be turned back into an IP address. We do not store IP addresses, we don't store the address of the page you came from (only the site name, like "google.com"), and none of it is shared with an advertising network or any other company. There is no analytics script in your browser and nothing here is tied to your account.
7. Students under 18, and children under 13
Admisly is built for high-school students, and most of our users are between 13 and 18.
- You must be at least 13 to use Admisly.
- If you are under 18, please read this policy together with a parent or guardian before you sign up — and before you upload essays, transcripts, or anything about your family's finances. Since Admisly is paid-only, a parent or guardian is usually involved in signing up anyway. We think that's a good thing.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we find out that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will delete the account and its contents.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email AdmislyEducation@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly. Parents and guardians can also ask us to review, export, or delete the data in their child's account — see Your rights.
Admisly is a direct-to-consumer service. We are not hired by, and we do not operate on behalf of, any school or school district.
8. How long we keep things
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. That's deliberate: your Blueprint, chats, and study material are only useful if they're still there in the fall.
- Delete your account and we remove your profile, plans, chats, essays, and study content from our datastore.
- Some billing records are kept by Stripe, and we may keep minimal records of transactions, because payment processors and tax rules require it.
- Backups and server logs may hold copies for a short period after deletion before they roll over.
9. Your rights: access, export, correct, delete
Whatever your country's law says, this is what we'll actually do for anyone who asks:
- See what we have. Most of it is already visible in your account. Ask us and we'll tell you the rest.
- Get a copy. We'll export your profile and your content and send it to you.
- Fix it. You can edit your profile in the app. If something's wrong that you can't edit, tell us.
- Delete it. We'll delete your account and the data in it — profile, plans, chats, essays, notes, uploads.
To make any of these requests, email AdmislyEducation@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm it's really you before we delete or export anything. A parent or guardian may make these requests for a student under 18.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel or refund a subscription — cancel your subscription too, or tell us and we'll handle both.
10. We do not sell your data
Plainly: we do not sell your personal information, and we never will. We don't rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else's advertising. We don't sell student lists to colleges, scholarship services, test-prep companies, or lead generators — which is a real business in college admissions, and we're not in it.
Admisly makes money one way: subscriptions. That's the whole model.
11. Security
Here is what's actually in place — no more, no less:
- The site is served over HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored as PBKDF2 hashes, never in plain text.
- Session cookies are HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax.
- Your data lives in a server-side datastore on a single virtual private server that we operate, with access restricted to the operator.
We're a small operation, and we'd rather tell you that than imply a security team we don't have. We haven't been independently audited and we don't claim any security certification. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that a breach will never happen. Use a strong, unique password, and don't paste anything into Admisly that you wouldn't want stored on a server.
12. International users
Admisly is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. Our subprocessors may process data in the US and elsewhere.
If you're outside the US — including in the UK, the EU, or anywhere with stronger privacy laws than the US — using Admisly means your information is transferred to and handled in the United States, where the legal protections may be different from those at home.
13. A note on AI-generated advice
This isn't strictly a privacy matter, but it belongs next to it, because it's about what you should expect from what we produce with your data.
Admisly does not guarantee admission to any school. We can't promise you an Ivy — nobody honest can. Everything Admisly produces is AI-generated guidance. It can be wrong: a deadline can be out of date, a school's policy can have changed, a statistic can be off. Check anything that matters against the school's own website before you rely on it. Admisly is not legal, financial, or immigration advice, and it isn't a substitute for your school counselor.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant — a new subprocessor that sees your content, a new category of data, anything that would surprise you — we'll email account holders rather than quietly editing the page. Continuing to use Admisly after a change means the updated policy applies to you.
15. Contact
Questions, requests, complaints, or "please delete everything" — one address, and a real person reads it:
